Martin Pierce - Martin Pierce
At Martin Pierce Custom Hardware we pride ourselves on providing our clients with custom door handles, cabinet pulls and other decorative hardware that will enhance the décor of their homes or businesses. Unique contemporary door hardware, whimsical drawer pulls and unique designs that cannot be found elsewhere are available in oil rubbed bronze and stainless steel finishes insuring that our collection has something for everyone.
Fluid contemporary designs are the basis for this innovative style of decorative door hardware. Cast in steel these hardware pieces are extremely contemporary but when cast in bronze the effect is reminiscent of the Art Nouvea style.
Our first contemporary door hardware design. These custom steel door handles and cabinet knobs have smooth ergonomic contours to fit your hand. Our Ergo door hardware series is available in 304 stainless steel and in bronze.
The tree door handles and cabinet pulls in the Hedgerow series are cast in bronze using the lost wax method. These organic designs were the first pieces in our decorative hardware collection and the style has been carried through to bathroom accessories.
Willow door hardware
The Willow designs are the closest we have to classical door hardware. The designs are reminiscent of wind swept willow leaves. The series offers a comprehensive range of door hardware from entry way handles through to a large heroic pull.
Willow cabinet hardware
The Willow designs are the closest we have to classical door hardware. The designs are reminiscent of wind swept willow leaves. The series is our most extensive and here we are showing cabinet hardware and a window latch.
Martin Pierce lives in California where he is able to appreciate lizards in his garden and in the surrounding countryside. The Heroic Lizard Handle has become a signature piece and it is one that he used as the entry handle to his home.
The Vine Door Handles are perfect for use as wine cellar door handles or, if the scale permits, as wine cabinet handles. We have added a vine cabinet pull to complete the collection. The inspiration for this series owes much to the wine region around Paso Robles.
The Netzuke series at present is limited to entry way and passageway handles. The designs are named for the toggles used to fasten clothing and which were often in the form of small animals with smooth edges. So far there are bee knobs, frog knobs and rabbit knobs.
Our plant inspired cabinet knobs and pulls are custom made to order. We finish these pieces most often in oil rubbed bronze but also offer colored hot patinas.
An organic approach to cabinet pulls and knobs. These contemporary hardware pieces are suitable for both residential and hospitality projects.
A range of pulls inspired by the animal world.
Some of our styles of decorative hardware have been carried through to bathroom. We offer Ergo and Morphic stainless steel towel rails, soap dishes and Hedgerow and Willow bronze bathroom accessories.
Oil Rubbed Bronze (Price category B)
This is a hand rubbed oil finish which will change over time allowing each piece to develop its own unique patina. The color and metal of the strike and face plates is determined by the lock and latch manufacturer. We have selected the most appropriate strike plate finish to compliment our own finishes and this is shown alongside.
Hot Patina Bronze (Price category R)
These finishes are hot patinas that react uniquely with each bronze piece so that no two items will be the same. The colors will change over time in a manner determined by the local environmental conditions. To help prolong the life of the patina the pieces are finished with a clear lacquer which may slow the color change but not stop it. The color and metal of the strike and face plates is determined by the lock and latch manufacturer. We have selected the most appropriate strike plate finish to compliment our own finishes and this is shown alongside.
Stainless Steel (Price category S)
We offer 2 finishes polished-beaded and brushed. Throughout the Ergo section of the catalogue you will see the polished-beaded finish. These pieces have both shiny and frosted or beaded areas. We typically frost the scoops and channels of an Ergo piece and leave the raised areas shinny and we make this artistic call. We also have a new brushed steel finish which you will see on all of our Morphic pieces. Strike plate finish is shown alongside.
